The  all girl team of Ali and Megan represented us at the Regional Lucas Short Course Race at Speed World. The 1600 car and trophy kart had been completely re-worked by the guys in the shop since the last race, and the girls were ready to compete. All went well in practice and the car and kart were way better than they had been in the past. The girls were getting more experience and were running up front with the others. Ali had a super day running 3rd in her heat race and then a great showing of 2nd in the feature main event. Megan had a good heat race running in the top 10. After a little more work and adjustments, she ran real strong in the main event until some brake issues hit, but she still finished 6th in class.

Our next desert race will be on April 30th at the BITD Silver State 300, held north of Las Vegas in the Alamo area. This is a great, fun race in a very scenic area of Nevada. We will head up on Friday the 29th to tech and register, and stage for the Saturday morning start. We will be heading home Sunday morning. The team will be running 3 cars and there are several moving pits, so all chase trucks will be in action. Please let us know if you will be coming along so that we can plan for everyone's accommodations and food.
